The first TCBT is scheduled during The 18th East China Fair (ECF), 1st-6th March 2008. ECF is the largest regional trade fair in China with the most traders, great variety of exhibits and the most onsite deals. ECF product groups include: Textile & Garments (Ready-made clothes, Leathers, Down coats; Household Textiles, Drawnwork, Textile raw materials, Fabric and complement, Carpet) & Light Industrial Products and Art & Crafts.
ECF is co-sponsored by nine provinces and cities, namely Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong Province and two cities of Nanjing and Ningbo. The 15th East China Fair had over 20,500 business visitors from 150 countries and regions as well as 60,000 of their Chinese counterparts. The trade volume amounted to about 3 billion US dollars. A. We will use a travel agency to obtain the best international airfare rates and routes. Should you need to arrange an additional side trip, they may also arrange it for you.
- Q. Do I need an invitation letter from Texindex to get a Visa into a foreign country?
A. Yes. Please be aware that China require visas.
- Q. Is there a participation fee?
A. No. We don't charge you any participation fee. You will cover your own airfare, accommodation, meals, insurance fees. Or if you prefer, you may arrange you own flight from your country to Shanghai and from Shanghai back to your country.
- Q. I may be in Asia during that time, what kind of arrangement can you make for me?
A. We suggest you purchase your own ticket.
- Q. Once in Shanghai China, how do I get in touch with Texindex?
A. There will be an Texindex representative to welcome you at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Please inform us of your arrival details (airline, flight number, time and date, etc) so we know when to expect you.
- Q. Can I bring my spouse on this trip?
A. This trip is basically for business purposes; however, if your spouse needs to travel with you, she/he is welcome.
- Q. Are there sight-seeing tours arranged?

- Q. Can I communicate with the manufacturers before the trip?
A. Yes. We recommend buyers and manufacturers to communicate before the trip. Please let us know what you are looking for, and we will refer you to the appropriate manufacturers in each city.
- Q. What kind of samples or documents should I bring with me to make the trip more productive?
A. We strongly encourage each buyer to bring his/her samples, tech pack to show the manufacturers. Better yet, if you can provide us your tech pack with sample pictures, so we can circulate this information to all the manufacturers so they can prepare counter samples ahead of time.
