Market review
Cotton yarn sales remained subdued, though the demand in some regions increased somehow. The market prices of combed cotton yarn 40s were at 42500yuan/mt while high-grade cotton yarn 32s was offered at 36500yuan/mt, ex-work.

Demand for polyester yarn recovered slowly and some plants raised offers slightly.　The mainstream prices of polyester yarn 32s for knitting were at around 20000yuan/mt.

Downstream Market
In China Textile City, the trading volumes decreased to 6.50mln meters. The sales of elastic fabric for working were tolerable and the sales volume to Fujian and Guangxi increased.

Outlook
Demand for cotton yarn focused on small volumes while orders of large volumes were still subdued. With cotton prices weakening further, cotton yarn market would probably continue to consolidate in weakness.
