‘The Campaign for Wool’, which aims to raise the profile and demand for Australian, British and New Zealand wool, will be launching its campaign in New Zealand on June 10, 2011.
The campaign will be launched with the help of US$ 250,000 contributed by the Council of Wool Interests, which has Prince Charles as patron.
John Thorley, Chairman of The Campaign for Wool feels that the movement is gaining momentum and the involvement of New Zealand will lift the profile and profitability of wool.
The Campaign, which started as a five-year international campaign from Britain in September 2010, has already reached more than 150 million people.
