The launching ceremony of 2nd Shangyu Children Garment Day • China Knitted Children's Wear Plaza was conducted grandly in Tangpu town on July 28th, 2011. That said, 460 children garment enterprises in Tangpu has its own professional cluster. China Knitted Children's Wear Plaza will improve Yangpu children garment industry’s development and help to enhance industrial upgrading.
Tangpu town has witness the development the children's wear industry for the last couples of years that has turned into the local leading industry with the year output of RMB2 billion. More than 460 children's wear manufacturers (among them, 25 enterprises whose the year output exceeds CNY20 million and 30 enterprises whose the year output exceeds CNY10 million) now are located in the town, yearly 100 million pieces of children's wear ranging from baby wear, children's wear at various ages to youngster wear. The products is popular with its superior quality and competitive prices in domestic and overseas market. It’s not only the main supply basement of underwear and homewear in domestic market, and also the important export basement of China.
China Knitted Children's Wear Plaza covers an area of 80,000 meters, with the investment of 200 million yuan. It aims to shape the futures of Yangpo children's wear and adapt to change by offering top-quality products plus the resources and reach of a leading industrial cluster.
5 days on since the opening, the sales value of the Plaza reached over CNY7 million (or 400,000 pieces). Now, there are 20 non-local shops which have moved into the plaza. The lodging ratio was over 95%.
