BERLIN – An eclectic mix of well-established labels and young experimental designers, all renowned for their work in the sustainable fashion sector, have signed up to attend the luxury goods GREENshowroom, which takes place in Berlin in January.
Among those scheduled to attend are Komodo from the UK, Ideo and Ethos Paris from France, Studio Jux from the Netherlands, Trigema, Wild Earth Cotton (Otto group), HempAge and Banuq.
Other exhibitors will include Stewart+Brown, an eco-luxury brand based in California which offers handcrafted knitwear and classic American sportswear using mainly 100% certified organic cotton, Mongolian Cashmere, hemp and tencel; early fish, a design house founded in 2010 by designer and stylist Jutta Jung making childrenswear from GOTS certificated organic cotton; and goodsociety, a fairly traded, all organic, lifestyle brand that merges fully sustainable fabrics with well-fitted cuts and clean styling.
The high-end sustainable fashion event, which takes place in suites at the luxury 5 star Hotel Adlon in Berlin from 18 – 20 January, was acquired by Messe Frankfurt earlier this year with the most recent edition run for the first time alongside the Ethical Fashion show.
In previous editions, the unconventional concept of combining a trade fair and a showroom and presenting green fashions in a luxurious setting has been deemed a great success has received an enthusiastic reception from both exhibitors and visitors, keen to explore modern design and luxury combined with sustainability and environmental consciousness.
